In its first eight years the “Celebration” has netted more than $1 million to build the WSU program that is launching careers for students in winemaking and wine grape growing, and providing the scientific research necessary to continue industry growth. Funds raised over the past few years have been dedicated to an endowment that allowed WSU to recruit internationally known enologist Dr. Thomas Henick-Kling as the program’s new director.
