Gifts Change Lives
Often, life-changing opportunities happen because of a single gift. A student gains from an international experience. A faculty member makes a ground-breaking discovery because of a simple piece of equipment. A rural community learns how to harness the power of the internet and creates new jobs.
A simple thing, really. Making a gift. Changing a life. Here’s how you can help.
College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences

Create an environment for innovation by investing in state-of-the art facilities and scientific instrumentation both on the Pullman campus and across the state at our Research and Extension Centers and experimental farms.
Impact world class research and teaching by helping us retain exceptional faculty and attract others who will add to WSU’s reputation for excellence.
WSU Extension

Fuel our independence with a gift in support of biofuels technologies and other Washington-grown solutions that benefit our economy, environment and quality of life—here and beyond.
I'm ready to make a difference by making a gift.
Planting the Seeds for Industry Growth
This spring, researchers at Washington State University’s Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center planted seeds to build a partnership benefiting students, the tree fruit industry and the state’s economy, thanks to a generous gift from Grady and Lillie Auvil, pioneers in the Pacific Northwest’s tree fruit industry.
The $2.9 million gift to Washington State University and Wenatchee Valley College supports scholarships and research at Washington State University. WSU’s portion is underwriting development of the orchard and graduate education at the Tree Fruit Research Center and Extension (TFREC) as well as undergraduate research and scholarships at WSU.
The TFREC is well situated to meet the immediate and future needs of Washington’s fruit industry while addressing complex biological and ecological issues in agricultural production and environmental stewardship. The gift was distributed to support these programs at WSU and WVC from an endowment at the Washington Apple Education Foundation in Wenatchee.
